Trying to go on a road trip this weekend for some Fall Colors. What would be the best?

1. Hwy 2 (Leavenworth)

2. Hwy 20 (Ross Lake)

3. Hwy 542 (Artist's Point)

Anything else that I missed?

Thanks.

Gotta say Hwy 2 because it is much closer to Seattle and (more importantly) will give you more deciduous trees with vivid oranges and reds when you get over Stevens Pass to the "dry" side of the Cascades closer to Leavenworth. The drive on the West side headed up there isn't too shabby either, it's been a splendid year for colors, even in Seattle.

I agree, 2 has always been the most spectacular with many Vine Maples showing 3-4 colors on the same tree.

Thank you very much. Any recommendations as to where to stay near Leavenworth? Looks like everything is sold out for this weekend (at least all the affordable ones).

You bet! You'll find less expensive rooms in Wenatchee, 20 miles east of Leavenworth.
