See the poll: meaning, do you live here, planning to live here, moved away already, etc?

I think this posted before I had the poll finished or something.

I'd have to pick " None of the above". Relocated to the Seattle area 31 years ago and used to really love it. Still like it and have no plans to move anywhere else anytime soon, but the lustre has kind of worn off.

Native to the area, love many aspects of it, not so in love with some parts of it...

I had a hard time picking an option too - but I did answer...

I am not really transplant, not really a native - and I did really love it when I first moved there... but like the 2 above me, the luster wore off and I was not so in love with some aspects of living there.

Hate is a harsh word

Because I can not say I hate it here - I just feel like it doens't FIT me.

I transplanted because husband lived here (he went to UW back in the 90s) and the housing market was better than Calif.

It's been great for my career, but I just can't handle the weather

Yeah, once you start getting into all of the shades of grey, the poll starts to get a little unwieldy.

Just whatever comes closest, mainly, I guess it's liking it well enough to stay or not liking it to the point that you want to move.

I don't think I can edit the poll -- but "hate" in the less harsh sense (as in, "I hate stewed carrots" -- doesn't mean that I actually have strong emotional animosity toward stewed carrots, but, rather I don't care for them and avoid them if they're on the menu). Likewise, as in "I love Ice Cream!" meaning that you like that confection, not you have some weird dessert fetish (although, if you do, keep it to yourself, okay).

Sigh, now this will turn into a discussion about stewed carrots and ice cream.

Since Native who moved away from Seattle, missed it, and then moved back is not a choice, I had to choose the first option.

Actually, one of the things I LOVE about the Seattle area is when I make my marvelous dessert of julienned stewed carrots in lovely mint chocolate chip ice cream. Which I just love! UMMMM yummers!!! In the Seattle area I love. As a transplant. Who clicked the fifth choice.
