What do you mean by “document”? I assume you’ve already taken care of your immigration paperwork.

S/he hasn't got a clue.

What the hell is a "territory?"

"In 1846, the Oregon boundary dispute between the U.S. and Britain was settled with the signing of the Oregon Treaty. The British gained sole possession of the land north of the 49th parallel and all of Vancouver Island, with the United States receiving the territory south of that line." -=Wikipedia

Wow, who knew...

The PNW was claimed by Hood and Vancouver who explored the Columbia River and the PugetSound prior to Lewis n Clark. British traders had a well established trading system in the PNW so much so that Lewis n Clark Expedition was planning to return to the eastern continental by trading vessels via Panama. Alas none were seen. Further by this time, the Native population along the coasts were already collapsing from the lack of immunity to once common childhood diseases...Including measles which is plaguing Vancouver's WA unvaccinated population, 55 as yesterday. Mostly affecting a Slavic community, which is considerable since they too were in the PNW prior to LnC.
The remaining Natives are still claiming their sovereignty trying to get all those who have "territorial" claims as bringing drugs, booze, diseases, rapes, and other stuff.

Have statements from your utility companies and ability to show 25% house/income. Probably the same as you would do in Canada. TDBank is not the same as TDAmeritrade.

"Household stuffs"? OP, are you Quebecois?

Will you be renting or buying? If you plan to rent at first, you'll need proof of employment and income, such as a letter from a local employer here, offering you a job. Do you know where, in the greater Seattle area, you want to live?

You can use your current driver's license until you have time to go to the Motor Vehicle Dept., and get a local one. Look up their website, to see what's needed, to get a local DL. You probably won't have to take a test.

Documents will be permission to move to the United States in the first place. If you don't have the right visa when moving with all your household goods, you will most likely be turned back by U.S. Customs and Immigration officers at the border since a visitor doesn't move all their household goods for a simple visit. It sucks to be deported and yes the U.S. Deports Canadians AND Canada deports Americans, but in a larger number.

We can come to each other's countries for a period of 90 days or less, but to immigrate or work, you have to have the proper visas for each and every family member before arriving at the U.S./Canadian border... Unless, you have documentation from one of the many recognized North American Native American "Nations" for your entire family.

If you're being sponsored by one of the hi-tech companies, they should be able to tell you exactly what you will need prior to crossing the border into the U.S.
