Of course commuting tolerances vary, and mine is pretty thin TBH. As we speak, it's a 42 min drive from Seattle to Kent, and 1:10 from Seattle to Everett (a whole 29 miles). OP is looking at spending up to 3 hours per work day via car, bus, or train just to get to/from work....there's a part of me inside screaming "there's got to be another way!".

Yeah, I really like DEN. Unfortunately the other half did not We will most likely move to Seattle but that's a different topic.

Commuting tolerances do vary. I would consider an hour or less right now a blessing.

OP, what you are suggesting for yourself is about as close to the last thing I'd subject myself to on planet earth. Even commuting from Kitsap seems like a better idea.
What is the equivalent of Kent in Denver? Would you say Centennial? I know it's not apples to apples.

No, Centennial is far too nice to be Kent.

The Kent/Auburn/Renton hybrid would be Aurora.

TTT. May be looking at Maple Valley or Lake Stevens.

What I want is downtown Bellevue at Tacoma prices. Where can I get that? Cleveland?

As you say, Maple Valley and Lake Stevens. I think Maple Valley would feel more like a community.

Unfortunately both of these could be true. Downtown traffic is scary bad.

I lived in Denver a while back. It's nice. I don't know if I'd choose it over Seattle, but different strokes.
