I am figuring out my commute from Klahanie and plan to park at Issaquah Highlands Park & Ride to take 554 bus or another to downtown Seattle.

1. What time does the Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride get full on weekdays?
2. I will be looking for parking around 9:30 am. Can I park in the shopping are around the park and ride without getting towed?
3. What if I look for parking later around 10:30 am. Do spots open up?

My husband takes our or our friend's car (who is currently abroad) down the hill (from up in IH) and parks on the street or somewhere in Grand Ridge Plaza. We've never gotten towed. I wish I could tell you about IH P&R, but I work in the neighborhood.

I live a few miles away and have never seen that garage fill up.

I used to go to the Highlands P & R and left very early, but others using it later have told me that it's full by 7:30. That's why cars are parked on the side of the roads nearby. Some even parking in the outer Swedish Hospital lots and walk to the bus stop near there. The P & R will only get worse now that they are selling permits. My problem was getting out in the afternoon with that tight exit on a busy arterial (F150), so I decided to drive down to the Issaquah Transit Center. That garage never fills up, and has an overflow lot, and I get home 20 minutes faster.

Thanks for the response. Are you saying Issaquah Transit Center has parking spots as late as 10 am?

More likely than Highlands, but if not, there is a big lot across the street. I only went there that late once and it was full except for the roof, 5th floor I think.
