We're new to the area and would like any recommendations for dog boarding facilities (including any we should avoid) for our two beagles. Some of the places we've seen are pretty loud and rowdy, but one of our pups is getting older so we'd like something with a more tranquil area for him. Ideally we're hoping for something with some outdoor space, "suites" (i.e. something more like a small room rather than a cage) to sleep in, and staff on site 24/7. We're flexible on location and cost. We are in Seattle itself so we've seen several downtown locations but are totally clueless about what options might exist a little farther afield. Appreciate any thoughts.

I don’t have a dog (yet) but I personally would use Rover. It’s online marketplace where people provide different pet services, including boarding. We have a cat and use them whenever we go on vacation. Generally I feel like I am getting a much better service there. For example for boarding, it’s typically going to be some person with a house, it’s not uncommon to find someone who is accepting only one client at a time, you can find someone who is closeby and so on.

The marketing on this place (near SLU) cracks me up but it looks pretty solid: Dog Daycare & Doggy Boarding at Woof- Best in Seattle

I heartily recommend Pioneer K-9 Kennels in Federal Way.
Lots of space, "suites", really good care.
I boarded my two dogs together there over Christmas last year. Worth checking out.
