It's amusing how the attitudes have changed once it was shown King County gives 33 counties outside of King $3 billion dollars a year. Before, it was all "the state needs to split!" and "We are tired of King County forcing us to pay for their mass transit!" (when they don't) which even you said. Once it was shown just how many billions King County gives them, it's "we are all in this together!". King County should keep their $3 billion a year to fund their own mass transit and tell those 33 taker counties to pound sand.

If Eastern Washington was another state, Western Washingtonians could still visit easily to take advantage of the environment. Apples and wine could still be imported over state lines to Seattle, like they are to every other state. It's not a very strong argument.

We can't just continue to live off the advantages created by long gone generations. We have to contribute and move things forward as well, as a nation. Otherwise it is a road to nowhere, literally.
That's all great, warm, and fuzzy. But when the state is approaching California costs of living and taxes still on same lame average WA family income, it's a hard pill to swallow to pay yet MORE TAXES for mass transportation in an area I don't live in and can't utilize that transportation.

The only people paying for ST3 are in King, Snohomish and Pierce. King county sends $3 billion to 33 other counties including a half billion to Pierce. The claims that counties outside of King, Snohomish and Pierce are paying for the Seattle metro’s mass transit are FALSE as has been explained numerous times. The reverse is true. King county is sending King County tax money - $3 Billion - to 33 other counties. Those counties are the takers. Seattle would be better off keeping the money and funding themselves. Let the other 33 counties pay for themselves. If they don’t have the population/money to support themselves, that’s on them.

A sucker is a sucker, no matter where they live. That a majority voted for Timmy's latest unconstitutional and fraudulent "logrolling" initiative merely shows that the majority are easily fooled. Timmy knows that and is laughing all the way to the bank.

Thankfully, the State Supreme Court won't be fooled.
