I grew up watching Steve through my entire childhood. As a child he just seemed so kind and made me love watching/learning about the weather. He's a true Seattle icon and absolutely will be missed.

Aww. I lived 2 houses away from his parents. Very kind family, so no surprise he emits that and always with a huge smile. He is truly an icon. I did like his appearance in the Angelina Jolie's movie (I think it was "Life or something like it").

Yes, "Life, Or Something Like It" was a theatrical release in 2002. Steve Poole is a credited actor, as well as his co-horts, Dan Lewis, Margo Myers, and Michelle Estabon. Like many films set in Seattle, this one was mainly filmed in Vancouver, but did shoot some minor scenes in Seattle.

More trivia..."War Games" with Matthew Broderick showed some video of the late Jim Harriott, at KOMO in 1982.

The combination of Steve Pool, Kathi Goertzen and Dan Lewis was absolutely golden.
