As a native and longtime Seattle resident who comes back frequently, I can tell you it has indeed gotten worse. There was a time in Seattle when you would rarely hear a car horn. There was a time when drivers would wave you in to a lane as a courtesy. There was a time when drivers on I-5 drove 10 mph below the speed limit. Oh wait...they still do that!

I have no complaints, paying about $800 every 6 months for a 2014 and a 2017 with full coverage, including collision at $250 deductible, uninsured motorist and comprehensive.

Seattle/Tacoma just hit #4 on the worst places to drive in the nation list. Growing at a rate of more than 15,000 people a year.

Seattle's MSA has grown about 14.5% since 2010. Current estimate shows a 500,000 increase in population the past 8 years. Do the math. That is 62,500 per year. Equaling apprx. 171 per day. Not 500, but still a healthy figure.

I believe the 171 a day figure. Yikes. That's strong growth. And the Sonic's still can't gain foothold again?

Oh that's right. Seattle would rather fester and nestle the homeless, drug-addicted souls than feature tip-tier NBA basketball.

Well, if we're talking about a humanitarian perspective, I'd much rather take in needy people than pay some athletically-talented people millions of dollars to run around a basketball court. No shade on sports, but some of us do have some sense of priorities.

Apples and Oranges, for sure. I think helping the homeless is important, if they accept the help. Many refuse, but that is off topic.

The NBA will return to Seattle someday. It has only been 11 and a half years since the last Sonics game was played in Seattle. Heck, Los Angeles had to wait 20 years to get the Rams back.

To get back on track...how 'bout those bad Seattle drivers'?
