How about the Seattle Edge?

Imagine the skate blade prominent in the logo.

And, agreed, no neon green in the branding. Forest green, and sliver / black.

And yes, I'm using my first post on this. As a life-long hockey fan and a Seattlephile, I had to chime in.

Still time to pick a winner?

Regardless of name, congrats Seattle sports fans for finally getting the fastest professional sport on Earth!

There's a bar on the Ave. called Kraken, way down on 55th. I think the NHL can do better. I don't like Sockeye either. The name should reflect superiority, and strike fear in the hearts of your enemy. How about The Seattle Wizards, since this is The Emerald City. How about The Seattle Blizzards? Seattle Dragons? Seattle Titans? Seattle Rockets?

No, how lame and wimpy. There is power in a name.
I just discovered that "Kraken" is pronounced "k- rake- en", not, "crack- en". It sounds like Tweety Bird is saying
" Quaking" .
" I wath kraken in my wittle cage when I taw dat bad ole puddy tat".

Are they going to wear silver part of the year and bright red when they spawn?
It's a horrible name for a team. It might be your username and sound good, but it's too namby pamby for a hockey team.
