Recently was hired by the company and got my relo money. Looking for apartments between 1300 to 2100 that can have either 1 or 2 bedrooms with decent amenities (controlled access being the most important). Sifting through this on Apartments.com is ok but I was wanting firsthand info.

Any recommendations ?

Which Amazon location will you be working at? SLU? Bellevue? Kent? Typically the general advice is to live as close to work as possible. Current conditions aside, traffic here is incredibly bad by any standard, and sitting in it for hours really reduces your quality of life.

If working in SLU, since you are single, you should live in Seattle. For instance: Capitol Hill (#8), Eastlake (#70), U-District (#70), Lower Queen Anne (#8), Westlake (#40), Ballard/Fremont (#40), West Seattle (C-Line), etc.

Try to get a shared housing or apartment share with some one who is with Amazon or in your occupation. You will be introduced to a culture now in lockdown & WFH. You will be in a difficult situation in growing a network that can help you become with familiar with AMZN's and Seattle's culture . Hope that your direct and their direct understands that you will be learning the ropes by yourself and social media.
Good Luck
YMMV

Capitol Hill is nice and close to Amazon, some parts even walkable.

Let me also add that I wont be making "Amazon money" just yet..this is a training role that, if successfully completed, leads to a full time, well paid role in the company.

With that said what they will be paying me isnt bad either just not quite 6 figs...maybe that provides more context on livability?

Spot on. Even if WFH, these neighborhoods have lots of amenities.

Well, if you're not making Amazon Money, yet... I'd look into Renton, especially in "The "Landing" area. It has service throughout the area and the cost generally a lot cheaper than Seattle. If you're in a "trainer/trainee" status, I figure you have more time than money and be focused more on work than chilling out with the hipsters.

Plus, The Landing area has plenty of stuff for the younger set to enjoy. And people living in that area are basically white collar/techie professionals.

If you live in Seattle, you will be paying extra $$$$ for that privilege.

I'm pretty bias, growing up in The south end of Seattle, I tend to stay and move around areas south of Seattle.
