From the Seattle Times (also CNN Money) --
For the first time in over 10 years, the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area DROPPED out of the top 10 in U.S. car thefts, says the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area is now #16.
CNN says the list was issued this week.

New top 10 regions for car thefts:
1. Modesto CA
2. Las Vegas-Paradise NV
3. San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos CA
4. Stockton CA
5. San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont CA
6. Laredo TX
7. Albuquerque NM
8. Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale AZ
9. Yakima WA
10. Tucson AZ

Well, the west excels in car theft!!!

How come gang-infested Bellevue has to be included? Without them, the ranking would probably be #25.

I'm sorry I have to ask since I'm relocating to Bellevue soon. How much of an "infestation" is it?

I've lived in Bellevue for more than 20 adult years, and I can assure you there's no such thing as gangs in Bellevue. The only "infestation" we have in Bellevue is SUVs!!
