"When Seattle area restaurants reopen, perhaps as soon as early June, customers should brace for a dining experience that will look little like what they encountered before the coronavirus pandemic, many restaurateurs warn.

Servers will likely don masks and gloves. You’ll order from a disposable paper menu while your server stands 6 feet away. If you leave your seat to use the restroom, you will be asked to put on your face covering. And in what will likely ignite the biggest controversy, restaurants will be required to record your personal data — name, number, email address and the time of your visit — and maintain those records for 30 days".

That is NOT a pleasant dining experience. I’ll continue to do takeout until we can have an enjoyable meal/experience.

I must say I agree. Takeout in my own cozy home sounds a lot better.

Absolutely insane power grabbing and nannying control continues, feel bad for these restaurant owners who already are running on slim margins

Why it is okay to sit next to strangers in a restaurant, but not see my son graduate from high school in person with 20 classmates; makes no sense to me.

Most graduating classes have far more than 20 students.

That's if there are any left. A lot of places have or will close before that point.

2nd that. Takeout, while a bummer (I enjoy the diner experience) is the way it will have to be.

That could be a couple of years down the road. The Spanish flu, as we are often reminded these days, lasted 3 years, with several waves of infection.
