"The Seattle Police Department (SPD) moved into the "Capitol Hill Organized Protest" (CHOP) zone and returned to the department's East Precinct early Wednesday morning. The precinct was evacuated on June 11.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan issued a 48-hour executive order for protestors to vacate the area due to the ongoing violence and public safety issues in the area of the East Precinct and Cal Anderson Park. Mayor Durkan's order declared the gathering as an “unlawful assembly” that required immediate action.

Police moved into the CHOP just before 5 a.m. and issued a dispersal order to any protestors in the area.
"Anyone who remains in the area, or returns to the area, is subject to arrest," SPD tweeted.

Officers arrested at least 23 people by 7:45 a.m. for failure to disperse, obstruction, resisting arrest, and assault. Police said a 29-year-old man that was arrested had a large metal pipe and kitchen knife when he was taken into custody. Police tweeted city workers also recovered "improvised spike strips" from the area around the CHOP".

Everyone arrested throughout the extended protests needs to be given 40 hours of community service each and help paint over and scrub off the graffiti in both Capitol Hill and along I-5.

I think they picked a good time to break it up without the potential for violence ensuing: after the numbers and support had dwindled and the rainy weather had I'm sure dampened enthusiasm.

I guess the march to her house was the final straw.

Did they arrest any of those that did the shootings and killings?

No. Final straw was realizing that, if she keeps letting it be "summer of love", she WILL lose even those votes, that normally were hers. People get scared. Scared people want to vote for someone, who will ensure their safety, not tolerate public threat.

Nobody was shot or died of asphyxiation, so it was a good day in the neighborhood.
