No, generally it is 85% to cities and 15% to counties. Of course, starting with the knowledge that for sales tax the first 6.5 percent is a STATE tax and although collected all over in various cities and counties, is for STATE uses/distributions. The other part is for voted upon or city/county government created city and or county uses depending on the location.

Further- state property tax assessment and disbursement guide-

http://leg.wa.gov/Senate/Committees/...n8_website.pdf

Think of it this way- King Co/Seattle likes to carry a lot of credit card debt, live paycheck to paycheck, buy new cars on loan every few years, eat out nightly and generally live it up - lots of spending and "fun". Other counties want to keep a budget, live within their means, save for the future, and be generally fiscally solvent for themselves and future generations. They don't want King Co's lifestyle shoved down their throats and no one cares that just because more businesses have locations/nexus in a populated area they happen to collect more in sales and property tax.

Here you go:

As I thought- King Co is counting the states money as "theirs" and whining because they didn't get to keep someone else's money LOL!!

Yeah, no. They aren't "funding" the state. And the more people work from home the more sales tax rev will originate outside of King Co.

So why is nearly every other county spending more money than they generate? That doesn't sound like they are living within their means, they are living off the money generated by other people in other counties (mostly King).

And yet other counties complain that King county is depriving them of money due to spending in Seattle, so I guess you think that they should quit whining too. It's not someone else's money, King county is a major part of the state and generates more than 36 of the other counties combined.

I understand that there is an incubation period with coronavirus. And you can be a carrier even if you don't show any symptoms.

Are you familiar with governmental accounting? Do you understand the budget process for the various cities, counties, etc? Are you familiar with appropriations, expenditures, tax base, etc?

Because if you did you wouldn't ask what you did. Check this out-

MRSC - Budget Preparation Procedures for Counties

And then this-

Do you grow all your own food, or do you buy it from the rural Washington counties that provide it??

If you don't have a garden, an orchard, livestock, go hunting and fishing, you better get on it!

Anyway not sure where you work where you can take time off like that to vist a place.

Must be a nice cushy job. I gotta save what I can and pick a spot based purely on job market and aesthetics without ever having been there.

The only place I’m familiar with that I’d consider is CO. You don’t make enough to live as an electrician in Denver , especially as an apprentice . Won’t even be able to afford a room in a shared place. Gotta live with mommy and daddy there at my level in the field. Atleast not for your first two years.

Meh. I’d trade the snow for being close to the water. WA is definately prettier state.
Geez angry much?
