With the current protests, the whole CHAZ/CHOP misadventure, the rampant homelessness, the left wing anti-business attitude, etc., are Seattle residents changing their attitudes, or do they still support the left wing policies that are causing the chaos?

I think a lot of people in Seattle feel it's what makes Seattle different and they crave that uniqueness. For me, I'm leaving. I don't like how liberal things are here. Never thought I'd say that.

Personally I haven't noticed it after the big protests died down. The only reason I know about it is various news sources. I live north and nowadays have no reason to be in the downtown or Capitol hill area. I do worry about the anti-SPD sentiment here. Interesting bit. The anti-SPD posters in my area were torn down and replaced with pro-SPD posters. As far as I know, those are still standing. Perhaps there are people that don't like all the chaos going on either.

I don't enjoy seeing boarded up places downtown. That area has quickly transformed into a rundown almost 3rd world place. It's sad.

I don't see anyone taking up arms to protect their homes or businesses.

I haven't seen anyone storming the moron mayor's office and hauling her off in chains yet.

We all watched for weeks as a mob of savages took a neighborhood hostage, while the residents and leadership didn't do squat.

We've watched for months as the fools leading the city enabled, empowered and supported the savages-while they restricted, attacked and neutered the police.

In short-nothing seems to have changed. I would have thought that there would have been plenty of adults to come downtown and deal with these spoiled children and stop their temper tantrum. It appears that I was mistaken.

I don't know. But in 98 days, we are going to have a census where every adult citizen can express their concerns. We will know what the true opinion of the citizens is. We don't have to listen to the manipulated polls anymore.

I don't live in Seattle so I'm not all that excited about the protests. It seems like we've had worse; these are just a bit more extended. Where I'm concerned is the long-term impact on the crime situation in Seattle. There are already enough drug crimes in the city, in combination with the homelessness, so I can't imagine what it will be like after they half the police budget and remove the jails. I already felt uncomfortable going downtown for jury duty, and this is making me contemplate moving out of the county so I can avoid the city altogether.
