SEATTLE: Is it really that bad in Seattle right now because of the protests or is it just more fake media hype overhyping fake news?

Depends what “news” media outlets you’re getting your info from

But certain areas are pretty bad, and the tweaker and homeless problem is still atrocious

No protests or rioting in Ballard. The rioting is mostly limited to a small area on Capitol Hill (Broadway & Pine), although they did ransack a Starbucks (symbol of evil Capitalism) up on 12th by Seattle U. 99% of Seattle is protest-free.

The insertion of "Trump Troops" will only pour gasoline on the fire - as Portland has shown.

Mostly true, but there are often also protests closer to downtown in the Westlake area, and sometimes with violence/vandalism. I used to walk through there to/from the bus to work in Belltown, and had to keep close tabs on planned protests and drive those days, and take Alaskan Way to I90. I work from home now and don't have to worry about it.

The damage itself is rather contained to only certain areas, but graffiti is now all over the freeway corridors (all the way past Boeing Field) and that wasn't the case before this summer.

You must not have been out and about yesterday. There definitely was a protest in Ballard at Market and Leary yesterday morning. Wasn’t huge, maybe 100 or so. No rioting as far as I could tell.

You mean the couple dozen DHS officers he has defending the federal district courthouse? If they weren’t in the building it would be burned to the ground, and you know this. Never understood this line of argument. It’s essentially the same as well she deserved to be raped with the way she was dressed. Hold the rioters accountable, do not excuse it or cast blame.
