So now standing up for your opinions and not allowing yourself to be bullied is not a respectable trait, it’s being a troll.

When you double down on admitted “tremendous distractions” and allow these distractions to bury your original points, then yes, you are being a troll.

But the thing is, it was not, in any particularly meaningful way, a distraction for me and many other readers: We got it.

I fully understood the intention of the blog post. I understood that this is an individual that clearly loves his city and is understandably upset at how much it has been degraded in matter of a few months. I also understand that some people cannot, or simply refuse to acknowledge the meaning and intention, which ought to be a shared sentiment for anyone who values safety, vibrancy, attractiveness and well-being in their city streets. It shouldn't be swayed by political orientation. However anyone characterizes the events of this summer (disoriented lens or not), everyone except maybe the truly evil or sanely-challenged should be able to see and empathize with Cliff's grief.

You don't want to focus on the bigger picture... okay... that's fine.. you've got lots of company..

But for myself and a few others we share in his sadness, anger and disbelief and we've come to the same reasonable conclusions how everything has unfolded.

It's getting late and it's not been the best day for me personally. I don't want to word battle anymore and in any case I think we simply won't come to any agreement about it.

We will need to agree to disagree.

So would you also say breaking windows, looting businesses, and shouting at residents to give up their homes... is "distracting" from original points of these protestors? I think it is.... do you?

Or are they NOT trolls, only Cliff Mass is, for using an unapproved comparison to talk about them?
