Hello,

We are looking to buy a new living room set (3+2 sofa, center table, side tables, etc etc). We initially planned to check out local stores but we are reconsidering it due to the pandemic. We are now thinking to buy from an online retailer but I would like to buy from a local store if possible. I don't want to shop around a lot but just to visit one or two stores.

So do you guys have any recommendations for local furniture stores so I can filter them without having to visit each store? My budget is in $ and low $$ range. Not too particular about any style as such. Just some decent beginner furniture. I would have considered used furniture but due to the pandemic I prefer to buy new.

Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks for your time.

below are stores in our area and within a circle 2000 yards.
Aboda,(Redmond) used rental, office, and staging furniture. Redmond showroom. Quality and styles vary. You'll need to tell the salesperson your desires.
Ross for Less. (Redmond) You'll need to visit.
Cost Plus World Market (Redmond),
Costco (Redmond)
FredMeyer (Redmond)

Your $ and low $$ range for new furniture is too vague.

JMO, buy quality furniture.

I love Ballard Consignment in Ballard. Now, I know you said you didn’t want used - many of their furniture pieces are brand new. They have a really beautiful selection. And they are willing to haggle, it’s actually almost expected. The price point though, as it is, really isn’t that high considering the overall very good quality of the products they are selling.

If you are looking for a low price point I have to say Ikea. But you will get what you pay for there. Some of their products are hit or miss. I really try to avoid particle board if I can which is what a large percentage of their furniture products are made of.

We just got ours, a new sofa, and two recliners from the Macy's furniture store in Redmond (Overlake). They were practicing good COVID safety, sales person was very helpful, and though it was only $1,800 we financed since they offered 18 months with no interest.

If you wan to go really cheap, we keep getting ads for Big Lots, with prices that look too good to be true, and several locations in the area.

Try Lazy Boy. Their furniture is well made for the price range and most of it is quite comfortable, which you can not say about a lot of furniture.

Styles tend to be quite basic, which means they don't go out of style. Their furniture holds up well so you can keep it for a long time.
