Hello,

My wife and I will be traveling to Seattle at the end of the month and will be there for a few days. We are foodies with seafood being our favorite. What are the best seafood restaurants in Seattle?

I've found two with very good reviews:

RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Elliot's Oyster House

I'm open to all suggestions. What's your go to for a special night with your significant other?

Thank you!

-skoonz the seafood foodie

Ray's boathouse. I prefer the cafe, the food is just as good, but the views and prices are better.

Then take a walk through the Ballard Locks.
The next night cross over the ship canal and dine Chinooks at Fisherman's Terminal.

Ray’s times two. It’s a Seattle classic and hard to beat the sunset views. Consistently good seafood. It’s at Shilshole (West of Ballard on Puget Sound) BTW.

Anthony's at Pier 66 in Seattle, or on Lake Washington in Kirkland. We also like Arnies up in Edmonds. For the full effect of seafood dining, it has to be on the waterfront.

Highly recommend RockCreek for a special night. If they’re allowing reaervations you should make one now. Pre-COVID they filled up fast. If you can’t get into RockCreek, I would recommend Shaker and Spear as an alternative.

For oysters, appetizers, and drinks, I really enjoyed Walrus and the Carpenter. Cool vibe.

For lunch, check out Pike Place Chowder. It’s got the touristy vibe going but it’s seriously good. Don’t get the bread bowl though; you should maximize the amount of soup you get. The one in Pike Place can have a serious line; there’s also one inside the Westlake Center mall, which may still be under renovation, but has a lot quicker line.

If you’ve got appetite for another seafood experience, check out Jarrbar near the waterfront. Most of the people I have taken here think it’s too weird/niche, but I think it’s fun. They specialize in high quality canned seafood and other cured and salty things (olives, jamon iberico, salami, etc..), primarily from southern Europe. This is a great late-afternoon stop on a sunny day if you’ve got a late dinner planned.
