I have to tell you we are moving out of Portland, towards the Seattle area. Portland is becoming such an outrageously "alternitive" hot bed for radical groups like the "Animal Liberation Front", environmental extremist groups, and others that justify resorting to violence in the name of a "higher ideal" that I don't recognize the place any more. And I grew up here.

I don't mean to be harsh, I love the town, but in all it's open mindedness, it's becomeing completly intolerent.

That's true but we accounted for the 8.8% Seattle sales tax at a realistic consumption level and we still come out WAY ahead in Seattle.

I just hope that US Senators like Harry Reid, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Lamar Alexander and our own Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray, among others, can keep the sales tax deduction in place for a few years. It saves several hundred dollars for most people in states with no state income tax.
