Well Jerry Dipoto admitted this is not the year for the Mariners, 2022 is. He's looking to next year. Already.

The Mariners should make the playoffs and after that it's up to them. They will make it to the playoffs this year.

^^^^ Yes, JD is claiming that 2022 is the year to compete.

I do hear dav51s point, though.

It's been a bottom-end organization for so long.

Will the M's make the playoffs this year?

We'll see.

It should be interesting.

M's beat Tampa Bay yesterday 8-2 ta go 57-50 .533 on the year. They're 3 games back of OAK, and OAK holds the last wild card playoff spot. At this point, I think the M's are going to overtake OAK and grab that spot. We will see - it's just that Kelenic is finally starting to hit (fielding fine as well), Jake Fraley is back off the COVID list and playing and already helping the team, Flexen is pitching very well, most of their staff is pitching very well and their fielding remains stellar.

Seager continues to hit well (well over .300) with runners in scoring position, Haniger's having a decent year, on and on. I say yes the M's will leapfrog OAK and take that final AL Wild Card spot.

Liking Toro.

Good job by Kikuchi, Sewald and Castillo.

Yes, agree, Abraham Toro is starting to catch fire! Lovin' the M's now. I like the roll they're on. What's more is that the winning snowfall is just going to continue.

I don't see things slowing down for them.

2/3 from Tampa and now onto the Yankees.

2 names worth noting are hot prospects, Noelvi Marte who's lighting things up with his bat and also George Kirby.

Although the Mariners once held a 4-1 lead, the relievers gave up 4 runs and the Mariners lost to the NYY for the 3rd time in a row, today's score 5-4. They're now 58-54, but they've only won 3 out of their last 10 games. They're now 5 games back of OAK for the last AL Wild Card spot, and as Scott Servais and Jerry Dipoto are being proven correct on the Mariners: this is not their year.

They want us ta look to next year, so bob your head in agreement and take a winning token: this is not going to be the year the Seattle Mariners are going to be able to compete for the Big Enchilada. In the meantime, enjoy a resurgeance of sorts by Jerrod Kelenic: compared to his failures earlier this season he is now every bit of hot.

Go Mariners!
