I suspect that if they win the remaining 4, this probability is much higher (at least 20 percent). The bettors just do not think its likely for this team to go 4-0.

[quote=Bluefox;62450236]I don’t know… the Seahawks have a very loyal and far-reaching fan base. I think they’ll be fine. Yesterday I thought they were great. They don’t always have to make the playoffs, fans will not suddenly abandon them.[/

The Hawks were projected as a playoff team. Nobody projected Russell’s injury. In the end championship teams can still win despite injuries. Hawks were not prepared for that.

And Carson's injury, too.

Because we had a run game yesterday against SF we could open up more plays, IMO.

Pete still controls Waldron, IMO.

More of Waldron yesterday calling plays than Pete, I think but we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

The Hawks will need to win out to make the playoffs. That is unlikely. At Rams, at Cardinals will be tough. I understand Carroll has a long term contract. I think there may be some negotiation with that. As for Russell, nobody really knows but would guess 50/50 he is back next season.

The Seahawks fans chattering about making the playoffs reminds me of the Mariners....."We have a chance....a small chance but it's a chance...."....even though the team is weak in so many areas.....Management and coaches can pretend that their doing something good and productive when they are not.

Jamal Adams is out for the year per shoulder injury.

Ryan Neal will replace him.

I am more interested in seeing any 7-9 make the expanded playoffs and then win several games. At some point, a 7-9 team could make the Superbowl. Such a situation would be fair in cases where superstar quarterbacks are injured for half the season (or have Covid Toe affecting their performance)!

I may change my opinion if the Hawks win Sunday, but if not I really believe Carroll will be bought out. And Russell may be on the move. The one thing the Hawks have going is a somewhat easy ending season, but playoffs are not likely. But that is very determining in the end.

Both will be gone.

It does not matter if they win or don't win anymore this year.

Tend to agree. The Carroll project is over. Russell has been making some public comments that he wants to stay, but I think that comes with a different coach. And he probably has the power to choose one. I am sure Jody is listening.
