The headline: Couple with two-week-old in their car are attacked by mob armed with a machete, sticks and rocks at a Seattle homeless camp before they 'run over and kill one of the assailants while trying to escape'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...l-hit-run.html

A Seattle couple - with a two-week-old baby in their car - was attacked by a mob of homeless people before running over and killing one of the men as they tried to escape, according to published reports and a recently released shocking video. ...

This has made international news.

When I first saw "machete" in the headline, I thought the story was in some Third World country, or perhaps London. But no, it's Seattle.

This was in July, and I believe there was already a thread on it.

Okay. The Daily Mail story is today's date, August 20.

Someone in the camp stole something (I forget what) from this couple. They decided to go over to the camp and get it back, at night, WITH THEIR BABY, without a police escort.

Yes, the person who took their item was afoul of the law. This camp in particular looks like bad news and it will likely be cleared soon or already has been(?). However, you have to be a special kind of stupid to take your TWO WEEK OLD baby into a homeless camp where there's already a known thief. Jesus Christ.

Thanks for the update! I didn't realize they had released the video.

It's hard to feel bad for the homeless who commit crimes. Especially with the records some of them had. I'm glad the couple isn't going to be charged. But really stupid to bring a baby with them.

That's one reason they call it the "Daily Fail".

Yeah this reminds me of that case from Forth Worth a couple of months ago where a guy shot 4 people and killed 1 and he was killed by a crowd throwing rocks in response to the shooting at the party. But it turns out that only one person was shot and injured at the party, and the three other people who got shot with one being killed was a group of people who chased after him. Not approving what the guy who got stoned to death did but a lot of people don’t understand how dangerous it is to pursue people without proper assistance.

Read the story in the Daily Mail this morning. Sometimes they do better coverage of local events than the news here.

I also thought the story sounded like a Third World country, it’s a shame to see that beautiful city going downhill like that. There seems to be no end in sight to the homeless situation.

And you have to be even a more special kind of stupid to vote for the left wing nutcases like Gonzalez, Herbold, Mosqueda, Sawant etc. etc. who have rolled out the red carpet and turned Seattle into a mecca for degenerate junkie criminals.

I'm once again reminded why I hate the Daily Mail. Just opening their site brings a torrent of pop-up chaos.

Anyway, stupid people all the way around. That camp clearly wasn't teeming with welcoming neighbors.
