Like the M's thread, I think a Seahawk thread here is better than the Pro Football forum b/c a thread here won't die so quickly. More than a few members are interested that read this Seattle and Washington forum.

So, the Seahawks just drafted WR D'wayne Eskridge out of Western Michigan.

Many people wanted a guy name Creed.

Lots of positive reports on Eskridge and as usual they are the nay-sayers. Such is the draft.

The 'Hawks only have 3 picks this year (no first rounders) b/c of the Jamal Adams trade.

Eskridge is 5,8"
Seems to have good speed (I haven't seen his 40 numbers).

One reports claims he's a limited route runner....We've heard that before.

Here is some college tape on Eskridge.

2 more picks coming soon.

Well it's cool that they now have three speed burner WRs. Too bad Wilson won't be able to see them from his backside.

This is the year they switch to 17 regular season games: 9 road games; 8 home games. The schedule comes out May 12th.

Yeah, 3 fast WRs.

Some of the followers of the draft think we'll pick up a center. Who knows....

Bad idea to go to 17 game$, IMO.

Teams and players are battered, injured and out, and walking wounded clearly by the 14th game of the year.

Round 2, No.56 overall: WR D'Wayne Eskridge. Out of Western Michigan. Should not only fit in but possibly be a star for the Seahawks. Watch the competition between 2nd year WR Freddy Swain and D'Wayne Eskridge!

Round 4, No. 137 overall: CB Tre Brown. Out of Oklahoma. I'm thinking we not only wanted this guy but needed his hitting skills in the secondary.

Round 6, No. 208 overall: OT Stone Forsythe. Out of the U of Florida. I'm the most excited to know this guy is coming to Seattle. Check out his size: 6'8", 307 pounds. This guy is the most needed of the three picks, in my opinion. Going by the things Russell Wilson kept mentioning. I am so glad John Schneider and mostly, Pete Carroll, decided to not try and extract a good NFL QB from a crop of...without calling them wannabe's...not nearly anywhere near Russ' talent.

Go Hawk's!

Remember Malik McDowell who we wasted a 2nd round draft pick on in 2017? Well funny story: he's trying out for the Cleveland Browns.

I kinda hope he makes it, because his life has been an unmitigated disaster.

I saw the arrest vid when he trashed a convenience store.

Lost his marbles with bad decisions.

I'm surprised he's cleared to try out with the head.

I do like the Seahawks.
Heck I just like good sports and sportsmanship.
Now that I spend a lot of time in Washington I am paying much more attention and hope them well.

On another note,
a sour one though.

I have never thought that Russel actually deserved the Walter Payton award.
Something just didn’t click with me and I just couldn’t put my finger on it.

I mean he was good and all that but so were lots of others that didn’t cry to the media.
They kept their stuff in house where it should be.

I apologize for being a “Negative Nelly” but I call them as I see them.

All that said I really do hope that they do well this next season.

I don't even understand why it's an issue.

Is it because of his stated support for BLM? Otherwise, how is his community service any less than last year's winner?
