East Green Lake is a super location if you are health minded (or would like to be) and enjoy meeting other people who are. There are great running and walking possibilities with the 3 mile loop around the lake. You’ll find plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around, you can walk to the Roosevelt light rail station in about 15 minutes.

The PCC grocery store at East Green Lake is large and friendly, Whole Foods is closeby too. Starbucks, Kitanda Brazilian, Revolution Coffee, Bahn Town, Rosita’s Mexican (they make their own tortillas), Mykonos Greek restaurant, even a real country/rockabilly bar The Little Red Hen are all closeby. Tapas Lab, Retreat, St. Andrew’s Pub, Duke’s Cafe, Bongos, Noi Thai, Eight Row, Cocina Oaxaca, Spuds Fish and Chips are also close.

My office is there so I know it pretty well, I belong to a laid back gym called Green Lake Fitness, often walk the lake, even pretty on rainy days. There are single family homes, condos, townhomes, quite a few housing options.
