Howdy.

I'm going to be playing in a Pickleball tournament in South Seattle at the end of July.

Will be playing at the Amy Yee Tennis Center , 2000 Martin Luther King Jr Way, South Seattle 98144.

Any recommendations for what area to grab a hotel in ?

Not interested in staying in the hood- which I'm lead to believe is where the Amy Yee Tennis Center is.

I'm not too price focused but I need to be somewhat close to the TC, but also don't want to be in a high crime area.

Suggestions ?

Hey Nevada. Grab an Airbnb in one of the areas near Lake Washington but close to the TC. Mount Baker, Leschi or Seward Park neighborhoods are great and fairly close-by.

Lots of us live or have lived around there, so probably not the best idea to insult your panelists before you get the answers you want...

I'm a local and I didn't take their post that way jabo, think they are just looking for a mellow, safe place to crash for a couple nights.

It's more amusing that the area is being described as "the hood". It's definitely not what I imagine for a place with that name.

OP:
FYI, book ASAP. High season for Seattle visitors and Alaska Cruisers.

If you can find Abnb, near 23 & Jackson, you will be relatively close to AYTC and relative easy access to buses.
It's location is residential. nearly at the bottom of this Hill. Main drag is Rainier Ave (why because if you look south on Rainier, is a perfect view of Mt Rainier)
Getting an Abnb will depend on the number of people and cost/person.
Lots of nice hotels at all price points but not close. Unaware of motels near to AYTC.

750k homes near the tennis center easily. A few million dollar homes 10 mins away in Beacon Hill now It's a very expensive hood
