But, but, but, what about the KOMO video of "Seattle is dying," KOMO can't be wrong, raging, Seattle hating posters on CD are almost NEVER wrong, so what's with this news about Seattle not just surviving but--Thriving? On a serious note. Seattle, like many other aging cities, has been re-inventing itself for decades, I've seen it at its best, and worst, and through the years it has evolved into a large city with all the good and bad that one would expect from a city the has survived since the eighteen hundreds.

Some people have trouble with the view of cities as entities with a life all their own. Excluding the political circus, most cities are simply a large collection of complex human relationships, they go through a ton of frictional development, both on the social and economic fronts, with fans and detractors just passing through. We can hope for a better future, or throw rocks.
