We currently live in Puyallup, apparently in the direct runway approach of the Pierce County Airport. Didn't know this before we moved here, but we've learned we have to do this research now, since there is small plane noise (along with military aircraft noise from the bases near Tacoma too) almost constantly day and night here.

We have to leave Puyallup and are moving up north to Northgate, Shoreline, or somewhere like that. Is that area plagued by small plane (or any kind of plane) noise like Puyallup is? I'll do some research, but just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head?

Thanks...

The flight pattern for Sea-Tac when they are landing from the north seems to follow 145th from the east. The planes are usually high enough that you don't hear much, though. You will hear the traffic planes and helicopters flying along I-5, and the Kenmore Air seaplanes flying up Lake Washington.

And where might this golden silence be?

I did find out from another source that Paine Field is one to watch out for, but other than that, there's not much of a problem up north? That'd be nice... Thanks.
