To give you some info about some of your other questions, many African Americans live on the east side. I think more, in terms of percentages, probably live on the west side of Lake Washington. Either way, all the races are just an accepted part of life here.

About being near a park, we have a million parks, large and small! Do you want to be on the west side or the east side of Lake Washington? -- then we can narrow down "nearness" to parks.

About jobs, here's the combined classifieds of the two leading local newspapers. Could give you a fair overview of what's available in your field and some salaries:

I heard that it's a nice area, but definality recomend Queen Anne area, Ravenna, these are a really cool place to live.
