There are going to be big changes coming to First Hill. Big residential tower on the SW corner of Boren and Jefferson. 16 story residential tower at Broadway and Madison with a Whole Foods on the ground floor. Swedish may be adding two big towers - taller than their current buildings. I've heard that there is another residential tower planned for the McDonald's site at Minor and Madison. The Polyclinic may be adding a second building where their parking lot is next to I-5, and there is a big residential tower planned for the block just east of that, across from St. James. I've also heard that they are planning on tearing down their building next to QFC on Broadway and building a new tower there.

There are also plans to put in a BRT line along Madison from the Ferry Terminal to at least 23rd if not farther. This would probably remove most of the street parking along Madison since they want to put the BRT buses in their own right-of-way.

First Hill is going to be a much different place in ten years than it is now.
