We are from NYC also, moved to Reno last year now heading to Seattle, log onto the Seattle Times, plenty of info and classifieds, we cant wait to get some fresh seafood, inhale some salty air and get back to earning a real wage.

That depends entirely on where your job will be located. Secure that first, then live near it as commuting here by public transportation or by car will take a huge amount of time out of your life every day.
