April 12 it was sunny and almost 80, very warm for that time of the year. By next weekend, it was SNOWING. Latest snow in recorded history, in fact.

The heat waves in May lead to Juneuary for the first half of the month, that was classic. The year before was pretty much the same story; heat wave from about May 29-June 3 and then weeks of clouds/rain.

Now the heat wave in August has brought us Fall-esque weather after it.
Lol I remember April 12th - it was a Saturday. I was snowboarding at Crystal Mountain - it was so crazy.. they still had something like 8 feet of snow on the mountain and it was blistering hot - people were skiing and snowboarding in wife-beaters and shorts, some girls were even down to sports bras.

Here is one pic I took that day, that's mt. Rainier from one of the Crystal Mountain slopes. Less than 3 months till resorts open again...

I agree. September is actually my favorite month in western Washington. Lots of nice late summer days, plus the kids are back in school and many of the vacationers and tourists are gone, leaving more room for us locals to enjoy the beauty of our wonderful area, and I intend to do just that! Happy September everyone.
