But I love the changes. Then again I have been here just under a year. Ask me in 5... I may feel differently.
We have the 2nd most days of measurable precipitation out of all cities. Instead of it raining really hard for 20-30 minutes and then clearing up like those other places, it's a light drizzle that lasts all day and amounts to only a few hundredths of an inch.

Plus it's not really the rain that people here hate, it's the fact that you turn the color of a corpse and get severely deprived of Vitamin D due to never seeing the sun.

Best school districts according to Seattle Magazine (based on test scores I believe) in the Seattle area are Mercer Island, Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, Issaquah and Lake Washington. The avg home price in Sammamish (both Issaq and Lake Wash schools) is $625K and that is the lowest priced area of all those districts. Redmond may also be Lake Wash schools but I am not sure but I think the prices are roughly the same. You can find houses in those areas in the mid-500's for around 2000-2100 sq ft in that might need a bit of work but you will get the schools. We live in Sammamish and kids go to Issaquah Schools. So far we are happy with it.
