I saw a best of list today of the tastiest chocolate chip cookies in America. On that list was a place called the Macrina bakery. Their chocolate chip cookies were highly recommended. Anyone been to this place and does it deserve to be on the list?

Macrina is a good bakery. Their breads are especially good. Their chocolate cookies are big and good.
But are they all that? I don't think so, and they're overpriced. 1.80 per cookie.
Best in America? Good, sure, but maybe not even the best in Seattle.

The best cookies in Seattle? Golly, I like too many, but 60th Street Desserts on Sand Point Way across from Magnuson Park has mighty fine chocolate chip walnut cookies.

Larsens Danish Bakery in Ballard does not sell chocolate chip cookies, but they do sell a huge variety of pastries, breads and other baked goods.

I want a bakery that sells cookies that look like this:

I'm tired of making them myself.
