32 bucks to watch a movie?
If it included a champagne and caviar buffet I'd consider it, but these guy's ain't even throwin' in a box of popcorn.

Sounds like it would be too noisy to enjoy the movie, with the waiters rushing around.

V. =)

Sounds like the answer to a question that nobody asked.

....And doesn't it seem odd, in the economy we're having, to open a movie theater with thirty five dollar tickets? Maybe I just don't get it.

Just a little too weird for me (not to mention expensive, of course).

The Seattle Times had a picture of the theater.

I will light my cigar with a $100 bill when I tool over there in my Hummer.

HAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!!! Take that, you poor people!!!! LOOK AT ME!! I CAN AFFORD A MOVIE YOU CAN'T!!! FOR I AM RICH!!!

P.S.

<----Is actually quite poor.

/sigh. Oh well, I can do a lot with $32. Like Orville Redenbocker and Blockbuster and my 27 inch TV. 27? 29? I dunno. I do know I want a big flatscreen. I also know I don't NEED a big flatscreen.

Restraint. It's a beautiful thing, ain't it? Sometimes, I wonder if it was a blessing to grow up dirt poor. Makes you really appreciate what you need vs. what you want.

That is the same concept as the McMenamins theatres in Portland, OR ... only the price for entry is significantly higher. For the cost of entry to this theatre, you can enter a McMenamins theatre and have a glass of wine and an entree delivered to your sofa-seat.

Not to mention that theatre concepts in Seattle do not seem to have the popularity that they have in Portland (I have my theories, but I think it boils down to the fact that people here use the Internet for their entertainment purposes a lot more than they use movies).

It makes me think that someone didn't do their market research fully.

We've been to the Kennedy School McMenamins a few times, and while I personally think the concept is far different than the Gold Class, it's really enjoyable. Gotta love the $3 admission, but then again the movies are not first-run flicks.

Default Love it

I would be there twice a month if I was in the area. I love that it cost a bit more... I don't care for crowds.

And the service sounds amazing.
The seats would be great for my husband who suffers daily with back pain. It's about time something came out like this!!!
