I just started working in Downtown Seattle. Want to find a new dentist preferably downtown Seattle but Mercer Island, Dowtown Bellevue, or Issaquah is exceptable if they are that good and cater to wimps like me.

I'm petrified for the dentist chair from bad childhood experiences. My last dentist in California was kind enough to offer me nitrous with ever procedure including cleanings. I hate cleanings - have sensitive teeth and the nitrous is the only way I can get myself to come in. For anything more than that like fillings, etc., they gave me valium and nitrous.

Looking for a friendly office that can provide good service to the likes of me. I'm self employed so have to pay everything out of pocket so looking for someone that also has reasonable rates and only recommends procedures if they are clearly needed/ worth the money. I swear one dentist I had years back filled cavities that weren't there (never showed me the x-rays). I want someone that will show me the x-rays.

A female dentist is preferred, some how they put me more at east but I know there are good male dentists too that I would be find with.

Any recommedations are greatly appreciated. It's been 2 years since I had a cleaning!

I go to Dr. Kelly Fisher in Issaquah. Her office is awesome, friendly, and extremely honest. I'm not sure about nitrous and valium, as I've been pregnant every visit, but they are super caring and gentle.

V. =)

Having had a lot of dental work done, I sympathize with you. Tip: try to have regular cleanings twice a year because it will keep the plaque accumulation down and there will be less discomfort plus any work to be done will be detected early before it progresses! I don't have insurance either--ask about discounts because some dentists and hygienists will either waive the xray fee (for example) or give a discount.
