I want to take my kids to get portraits taken, and I no longer feel safe taking them to Southcenter Mall. So, I'm wondering if Kent Station is located in a safe area? I've heard some bad things about Kent, so I'm just wondering.

V. =)

Kent Station is fine as far as safety goes. Much, much smaller than Southcenter, and it's not an indoor mall....and the Wild Wheat Bakery is only a few blocks away!

Thanks, Ira! No Wild Wheat Bakery for me, though, I just had my gallbladder out on Saturday, and I'm on a "no fun food" diet. =(

Dang, Veronika! That does not sound like fun! Hopefully you'll be able to ease into eating more fun foods, or decide that bland food is really delicious?

Kent Station is a nice little area, I always see police walking about too.

Its also right across from the county court house, so lots more police around in the day time.

and at the kent cornucopia festival there was a big gang fight/shooting at the arby's right by kent station.

if you want good pictures of your kids, you should go to yuen lui, that's where i got my senior pictures, they have studio's around the seattle metro area and theres one in kent, federal way, bellevue and seattle that i know of. they also usually have some sweet deals on there pics too and they turned out amazing.

Thanks everyone. We took the kids to the Portrait Innovations in Kent Station today. They did an okay job, but I think from now on we'll probably go to the Picture People in Alderwood Mall.
