Hello!

My husband & I are planning a trip to Seattle at the end of July to come catch a few baseball games...GO MARINERS!!

We are just going to be tenting it so I am looking for campsites as close to Safeco Field as possible.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated...not having much luck online.

Neither of us have ever been to Seattle, traveling from the center of British Columbia, so any other suggestions of things to do or see (any hidden gems?) would also be super!

There's no *official* camping super close. How about Blake Island State Park? It's accessible only by tourist boat, from downtown Seattle. Other than the boat part, you could walk from Safeco Field to that one.

Dash Point State Park in Federal Way isn't too far. Might be as close as you are going to get.

There are several campgrounds off of I-90 near Snoqualmie Pass. While it is 45-60 minutes to Safeco, they capture the northwest camping experience with old growth trees and rivers. One warning is to pack warmly because it can get pretty cold at night, even in the summer, due to the altitude.

We stayed at Tinkham a couple of summers ago and had a great time: Facility Details - TINKHAM (WA), Wa - Recreation.gov

Ya, you're not gonna find any 'real' camping anywhere near Safeco as it is downtown, near the waterfront. You could try looking on Bainbridge Island and take the ferry to pier 52, then walk down to the field.

Dash Point is a great suggestion. The best I've seen.
