We are taking visitors there next week as part of the tour of Seattle we do and wondered where the best place to park would be? It will be a weekday afternoon and we have 2 babies with strollers to deal with so we want to park as close as possible. We will pay whatever to park close....anyone know where this would be?

Also, is there somewhere in that area that we could eat lunch? Remember, we'll have 2 strollers with us..lol

Thanks!

This might help: Public Market Parking Garage

As far as lunch is concerned Lowell's might be a good fit, if not there are many other options in the area.

Up Pine Street from the Market are the Westlake Center and Pacific Place. Both have parking garages and the walk down Pine takes you by Nordstrom's and other stores. The walk would be 5-7 blocks and is relatively flat (compared to other parts of downtown.)

When you head toward the water on Lenora, between 1st Ave and Western (a downhill slope) there's a parking garage on your left. It's $10 on weekends (mostly empty), probably more on weekdays (and could be full, I don't know what it's like on weekdays). From there it's half of a short block downhill to Western, then stroll left (it's now flat) to get to Pike Market.

In Post Alley, across from Copacabana (the black spiral staircase where Post Alley meets Pike Market), there's a cheap-eats spaghetti place that should have room for your strollers. You'd also pass the more upscale Etta's Seafood on your way to Pike Market; surely they can accomodate strollers.

The Cost Plus World Market parking garage is a block away from the market. If street parking is a hassle I usually park there. You can take the elavator up to the World Market and then out to the street. No hills.

Smile Pike Place market goes green

Thanks for the suggestions in this forum. Something else that's related to Labor Day that I saw on YouTube today was about Pike Place market going green:

There is a good garage on the NE corner of 2nd and Pike.

Lowell's/Athenian for lunch, but check Post Alley.
