We're looking at houses in the Briarwood area (Renton). I saw a sign at the entrance for the Renton Fish and Game Club and didn't think much of it until I was driving around the area on a Sat. afternoon and noticed how noisy it was. I don't want this to turn into a discussion about hunting or guns or anything like that, I just want to know how often you hear loud noises coming from there and where in Briarwood you don't really hear them anymore. Please include streets or landmarks or numbers (such as "outside a 5 mi. radius of the property, we hear nothing.") if possible. Thanks!

Hi, Seamama, we are considering moving to the Briarwood area of Renton, but hadn't heard of the Fish & Game Club. Have you gotten an answer to your question? We were initially looking in Issaquah, and it appears that there is one there as well, and the noise on Saturday afternoon was really quite irritating and has given us second thoughts. If you have any info on this, or other info on Briarwood (my kids are middle school/high school age) it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Funny, I just showed a house on Saturday right across the street from the Fish and Game club in Briarwood. Lovely lot, big trees, but Baghdad is probably quieter. Briarwood's nice in general, but is pretty remote, feels like Mars. Does have a little shopping center at 164th Ave and SE 128th St ( which is the continuation of NE 4th from Renton), which has a skating rink, a teriyaki joint, and a good pizza place. It's in the Issaquah school district, which is a good thing.

I had a girlfriend who lived across the street from the Fish and Game Club. You get used to it pretty fast and don't notice the noise. If Briarwood isn't an option, try Lake Kathleen or Lake McDonald areas. It is the Issaquah School District and the education from that district is top of the line.

I live on Squak Mtn and the noise from the outdoor gun range is horrible! We are about 1.5 miles as the crow flies. I think because we are up on the hill there is nothing between us to block the sound. This morning I swear it sounds like they are throwing grenades!!!
