It seems like the expansion team is going to play a big part in the MLS this year. The Sounders BY FAR look to be the strongest team in the league.

Too bad for my FORMER team, the Columbus Crew. I won't miss you...

Wow nuts!

I was a #1 Columbus Crew man until I moved to Seattle. Ekpo ftw, imho. However I'm behind the Sounders 100%; little surprise they stole Shmid after he whipped the Crew into champions.

Anyway I go to every home game. Help me sneak in beer to the stadium and I'll share.

This is a huge plus for Seattle. Already the Sounders have attracted attention from all over the league and nation...and we are only a couple of games in. That home opener will go down in history as one of the greatest moments in Football history in the United States. That says alot for an up and coming nation in the game like the U.S.

The energy and vibe around Seattle over the Sounders is like something I only ever saw in Europe or Brazil. It is so great and yet another reason why I love living in Seattle.

Unfortunantly I don't think any thread about the Sounders or their impact on the city will receive much attention in this forum. That is sad. Around here the only threads and topics that survive are another variety of the :

"I'm moving from fill in the blank can you reccomend a good dentist? Or how about a good daycare?"

I'll be in Seattle for the Sounders second season and will wear a pair of cargo pants with BIG pockets to sneak a few cold ones in with you! I think a couple of four packs of "the one and only" aka Guinness should hold us over nicely!

I am so into the Sounders!!

I have always been a soccer fan (dating to 1989) and am so excited that a club team has taken off like this one has. And to have it be a local team is incredible. I wish I was back in Tacoma where I went to college (and attended USL Sounders games) instead of all the way over here by Spokane.

If I was living closer (i.e. less than an hour from Qwest), I would have bought season tickets as soon as they went on sale and been at every game. As is, I am glued to the TV/computer every game.

Go Sounders!

It's great to see so much enthusiasm for the Sounders. Finally, a real sport. Now only if I can go catch a game...

Default Here's an idea...

There should be a city-data Sounders meet up sometime. Once I make it to Seattle I'd be down for it.
