Alright guys, I've recently been assigned a 6 month project in Seattle from my company (Starbucks). I'll be working at their main headquarters (i believe its on Utah Street) and need to know where I should live. I've lived in SF my entire life and i'm looking forward to the summer of Seattle. Some of my colleagues tell me that Seattle has the perfect summers. I guess we'll see. The company is providing me $1000 monthly for housing on top of my salary. I just need to know what would be the best place to live. I haven't had the need for a car for a long time since I live in SF and would prefer to not use cars in Seattle also. Is $1000 enough for a single 25 old to find housing? Any help would be great. I'll be coming to Seattle in two weeks btw.

Maybe I'll check out Griffey play also. Lol. Thanks in advance.

If you want to rent a small apartment with kitchenette and weekly housekeeping, try Extended Stay, Residence Inn, or the Inn Apartments for which this is the link: The Inn Apartments, furnished apartments downtown Seattle and downtown Bellevue

If you're staying in Seattle and working in Seattle, the excellent public bus transportation system will serve you well. You can rent a car when you want to go to Canada, the islands, the mountains, or far-flung sightseeing.
