I got a laugh out of this one.

"Travel and Leisure" Magazine ranked Seattled 24th out of 30 major cities for general attractiveness of the population (and 25th for stylishness):
Magazine: Seattle has unattractive people but great farmers markets - Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle):

I thought beauty was in the eye of the beholder, ah well.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. T+L, IMO, is a elitist, pretentious rag that is advertisement laden, but with no real substantive articles.

Obviously they've never seen the glorious creatures that grace the sidewalks around 5th and Pine or Olive and Summit.

In the words of a girl I know who came from LA ... "I dig the guys, they're more 'natural' and hot. The girls are also more natural, which works for some."

*shrugs* Maybe it is because there's too many engineers. Engineers will not buy clothing unless absolutely necessary, and are hopelessly unfashionable, myself included.

I have lived in both Denver and Austin and could not tell you the difference in the stylishness between those cities and Seattle. I also could not tell you if people were better looking in either place. Could it be that I just don't care?

Seattle is pretty bad as the big cities go (thats what vacations are for), but take a trip up to Everett and you'll come running back to Seattle.
