I'm considering buying a house in the Lake Hills area and have been told the area can be a little sketchy, I'm just not that familiar with that part of Bellevue. I'm mostly interested in property crimes. Any constructive thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

What did your real estate agent say? All the Realtors we've talked to discourage buying in certain areas of Lake Hills. Well, except the ones that were hosting open houses in Lake Hills. Then they'll go on about the history of the Pioneering 1960s Boeing Engineer.

Here's a not very good Bellevue crime map. You may want to go back several months to get a clearer picture, but it doesn't appear that Lake Hills has worse crime than most other parts of Bellevue.

Just a couple days ago the Redmond police sent out an info-bulletin about increasing home burglaries in the Overlake and Education Hill neighborhoods. Property crime happens anywhere and everywhere. It might be true that Lake Hills isn't as overtly "nice" as other neighborhoods in this part of the state, but compare it with the rest of the state or especially the rest of the country, and I don't think think there's any real reason to be overly concerned. If you like the neighborhood well enough, talk to some people in the neighborhood, ask if they've seen much crime.

I grew up in Lake Hills, on 154th, between Lake Hills BLVD and 4th. My parents still live there.

Very low crime if any, Just kids being mischievious if anything. I cant even remember anything ever happening around there when i was growing up.
