Please Help! I am trying to avoid the $40/night fee for parking at the hotel while we're in town in January. I would not even normally rent a car to come to Seattle, but we're really interested in going to Crystal Mountain for a day and were thinking that renting a car would be best. Can anyone please help? Is there somewhere close to the WESTIN that we could pay to park for three nights and not pay more than the car itself??

DT Seattle street-side parking is free after 7pm? during the night. But it's way too much hassle to do street-side parking. $40 is relatively cheap in comparison to other parking garages.

Just rent a car for the day that you'll be driving to Crystal Mountain. There are car rental agencies downtown, or at worst you just take light rail to the airport and get a car there.

the taxes you pay on the rental car will be as much or more than the daily rate for your car- especially if you get it at the airport.
