Hello All,

My wife and I are fairly new to the Seattle area- having moved here just over two months ago. We all know that Sunday is Valentine's Day, but that also happens to be our anniversary, so I am hoping to find a really cool and somewhat romantic place to go for dinner that day. Anybody have any ideas?

The Herbfarm in Woodinville - although quite $$$, is wonderful. Definitely best for 'romantic couples' as you and your dinner mate have a 4-5 multicourse, wine paired dinner to enjoy each other's company. ( versus a couple where 5 hours at a table together might be not so much fun).

My vote for really cool and romantic is Place Pigalle in the Pike Place Market.

There are so many potentially romantic spots in town, especially the smaller establishments in the neighborhoods - have a great time exploring!

That's what I was going to say. I'm guessing most of the nicer romantic restaurants (Salty's, Edgewater, Canalis, Daniel's, etc.) are probably booked.

Thanks for the info! To avoid the worst of the crowds I think we'll celebrate on Saturday, so we'll just go out and explore, seeing what we can find.

Here's an idea:
Lakeside Bistro
Insanely good food. Elegant but comfortable, lots of fresh seafood. I think they're doing a Valentines special, but I'd guess you can still get reservations.

Default A few options

Matt's in the Market. Classic Seattle romance, amazing food

Canlis. Old-school luxury, huge $$, worth the splurge

Pair. Beautiful neighborhood bistro with charm to spare

Il Bistro. Another in the Market

Restaurant Zoe. Beautiful modern place... another amazing chef.

There are a ton of spots in town, but you may actually have a chance to get in to a couple of these on a Saturday if you act fast.
