I would think San Diego would be more expensive over Miami!

If you dont buy a house in San Diego, its really not bad. Just found a 2 BR Apt for rent for $1100. Cheaper than almost any city ive researched
There are many, many major cities in the United States were you can get a 2 bedroom MUCH cheaper then $1100...

Chicago has a TON to offer, and even though it is expensive, its cheaper then New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and many other cities. Chicago is actually the only city on that list that I have been to.

Very true, but $1100 isnt that bad for a location like SD and Seattle, really. A lot to offer from cities like these (especially if you're a young renter.) Really tired of people complaining about the price of these cities. Theyre 2 of the nicest cities in the US. A little common sense comes into play here

Chicago is more expensive than you think, though I don't know what factors they took into consideration when they made this list. Chicago currently has the highest sales tax in the country, among the many other taxes in the city and the state. It really is not a cheap place to live and I can see why it is on the list. In fact, I would be surprised to not see it somewhere on a list. (And it's ranked behind Los Angeles and San Francisco.)

As with all Forbes articles, this list is a complete joke. Miami and LA more expensive than San Francisco? Chicago more expensive than Boston and DC? Houston on the top 10 list?

Complete joke. The only spot they got right was number 1.

That is exactly what I thought when I first saw the list, and I haven't really seen a Forbes list that wasn't a joke.

Yes New York City at number 1 really is the only right one they got.
