These are my favorite neighborhoods in Seattle:
Wedgewood- The neighborhoods have a good feeling, comfortable.
Magnollia- Feels kind of like a small town.
Laurelhurst- Upscale, nice, near the University.
Bryant- I like the area near Bryant Elementary.

Seattle's biggest secret. North Beach...and its costlier cousin Blue Ridge.

I think my hubby and I have found a compromise in Queen Anne area, he gets to be close to the stuff he loves and it has a good school for the kiddos!

I grew up on 44th and Phinney. It is nothing like it was then sadly. The apartments and condos have destroyed what once was mostly single family residences. Parking is all gone. Many views have been blocked.

There are a number of good places to eat, excellent espresso bars, etc. But it surely ain't what it once was.

OK I am a new seeker. Getting ready to move in. Lesbian couple, two elementary kids. We want good schools, to be able to walk/bike/bus to activities, good community feeling and cooperation, progressive politics. And not crazy high rental. Any suggestions? One person recommended Bryant???? but I hear a lot of different neighborhoods mentioned.
