Hi!

I am having another baby and I can go to either Overlake or Evergreen hospital. I need to decide right away so that I can pick my OB.

Anyone have any suggestions as to which one is better? And why?

Thanks!!

First off, congratulations!

I had both of my babies at Overlake (in 2007 and 2008). I LOVED it. It was a great experience. The rooms are nice and big. There are these little kitchens on the ward stocked with free food and beverages for you and your spouse. The nurses were all soooooo fantastic. I know they were remodeling in 2008 when I had my daughter, so I'm guessing the rooms are even nicer now.

If you're looking for an OB I can't recommend Dr. James Haines of Overlake OBGYN enough. He's also the head of obstetrics at Overlake Hospital, I believe.

V. =)

Thank you!

I have heard some great things about Overlake and Overlake OBGYN. Evergreen is a little closer to our house. SO I am trying to weigh the pros and cons.

Anyone deliver at Evergreen?

I did not deliver at Evergreen but was there a lot while pregnant since my Perinatologist was based out of that hospital. It is a beautiful hospital and the birthing suites are beautiful. Hardwood floors, kitchenette's and the staff was so nice. I delivered both times at Overlake, had no problems there. They were in the process of remodeling the birthing suites when I delivered there in Dec 2008 so it might be nicer now.

Both of my babies were born at Evergreen. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. I was very happy with my experiences there. Evergreen has free parking, too! My OB was at Evergreen Women's Care which is in the medical office bldg adjacent to the hospital. Very convenient. I really wanted to deliver at Evergreen because it was closer to my home.
